It's crucial to inspect the check valves to ensure your compressor is functioning properly. A key indicator that this adjustment is needed is when your compressor struggles to restart.
Start by locating the braided hose connected to one of the motor heads. Follow the hose to the brass fitting. On the opposite side, you'll find a socket cap. Use a wrench to remove the cap, which will give you access to the bushing and spring. Ensure there are no obstructions and that everything is clean and inspect the busing for any cracks or damages. Once everything is checked, reinstall the parts and secure the cap. Finally, turn the compressor on, fill the tank to 120 PSI and release some air to let the pressure drop to 90 PSI, the compressor should then restart.
Pro Tip: Before starting make sure there is no pressure in the tank and that the compressor is unplugged from the power source.
